There's A Reason Why The Most Common Robot Vacuum Deals Debate It's Not As Black And White As You May Think

Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

If you've always wanted to buy a robot vacuum now is the time to get one. CNET's best-rated models will be on sale during Black Friday and Cyber Monday with discounts as high as 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping using apps-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. The most significant innovation, however, is its camera-based obstacle detection system. It makes use of AI to detect objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you a photo of the object it comes across so you can tell it to avoid it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop we've ever tested. It removes dirt and spills easily leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings, and also create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't sweep in areas that you don't wish to. It's also compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can start and stop it using your voice.

Its design is a step above the competition and features a sleek, top piece that appears more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt removal System also self-empties, which will reduce your cleaning time.

In our tests the j7+ performed quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brush roll kept the debris in one location rather than sending it scattering all over the floor. It even managed to take small gravel and sand, which most other robots couldn't do. And it did all this without getting tangled up in our pet's shedding hair.

Although it's not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum and can't clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent choice for those who need both mopping and a vac in their home. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it simple to use.

While the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however we've found it be less reliable than other apps that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and it can be difficult to know whether they're functioning until you actually witness them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors A hybrid is the ideal choice. These robots come with a water tank so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. They also have a number of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and even the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The negative is that they tend to be expensive when purchased at full retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.

Roborock makes some of our favorite robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. This is the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. While it may not have some of the more premium features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) but it's an excellent option when you're willing to make a few compromises to save a few dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeable gentle around obstacles like wall legs and table legs, which makes it an excellent choice for homes with lots of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies, which is a problem which many robot vacuums fail. The Q5+'s navigation is superb, with only a few mishaps on walls and corners.

The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled with just a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barrier and no-go areas and modify your home map or re-label the rooms.

If you choose the Q5+ it comes with a new auto-emptying dock, designed to make the robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver however, once it's in place, emptying the bin is done without difficulty. It also features an impressive LCD display that is great to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't an essential feature for the majority of people but it will help you keep the track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot easily.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a smart well-rounded vacuum and mop. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design and functionality are some of the best on the market - but it's also pricey.

It is a relatively small base station that looks stunning and can be hidden when not in use. The primary selling point of the station is that it can automate many tasks, chores and functions that other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water and electrolyze and heat the water. Most other robovacs will require you to perform this.

Its vacuuming is also impressive. It's one of the only robovacs that I've tried that does an excellent job of picking up debris on bare floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly in terms of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means that it can get stuck or confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It's not able to climb stairs as well as some competitors, for instance and it doesn't have a dock that allows you to create an exclusive cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

Although it doesn't provide as much in the way of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many in-app shortcuts as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for those seeking a great all-round mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the price price.

If you're looking for a way to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are other options on the market. Many eufy models cost substantially less. The eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides the same experience in the app, but with additional features such as stair climbing, a full-function dock, and superior overall performance when vacuuming floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.

4. Eufy RoboVac G30

eufy is an Anker company with a long history of creating robot vacuums with the right combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping functions as well as carpets at an affordable price point. It's simple to set up, just snap on one of the side brushes and then turn it on. Then connect your charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps needed to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. It is recommended to keep the dock close to an outlet for power and enough space to allow it to move around but.

The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, meaning it is able to be tucked away under couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is more modest than other models, sporting sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started.  budget robot vacuum  and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in spiral patterns for 2 minutes). You can also connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home for voice commands to perform unscheduled cleaning.

The main characteristic that makes the G30 above the rest is the method it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to make an image of the unmovable objects in its path. It remembers the things it has cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. If it requires a recharge, it automatically returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning from where it started.

The eufy G30 isn't without its faults however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more built, incurs lower recurring costs, is charged faster and has a similar battery life, while providing better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't require to be empty as often and comes with the boundaries to keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is cheaper and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container does not require emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating bulky material like cereal.
